DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK:

The Owner will receive bids for the construction of two additions of approximately 2,100 and 3,850 square feet and approximately 9,200 square feet of interior alterations to the Boone County Administrative Campus Building . The Work will include: demolition, concrete, exterior masonry, structural and miscellaneous steel, cold-formed metal framing in exterior walls, custom casework and countertops, building insulation, exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS), EPDM roofing, exterior and interior doors, glazed aluminum storefront systems, metal-framed gypsum drywall assemblies, ceramic tiling, resilient flooring, acoustical ceilings, specialty and acoustical finishes, carpet tiles, metal lockers, toilet compartments and accessories, fire extinguishers, window and door shades, expansion of existing fire sprinkler system, plumbing fixtures and piping, HVAC systems and modification of existing ductwork, extension of existing electrical systems, expansion of existing fire alarm system, expansion of existing structured cabling tele/data system, alteration and expansion of existing security access system, exterior paving and landscaping, and other incidental work.

BASIS OF BIDS:

Bids will be a single contract, stipulated sum.

TIME OF COMPLETION:

The Work will commence on May 26, 2025 , and be performed such that the Project will be Substantially Complete as indicated in the Bid Form .

BID OPENING:

Sealed bids will be received by the Owner until 2:00 p.m. CDT on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 in a sealed envelope addressed with the name of the Bidder, Owner, name and number of Contract, and the date and time of the Bid. Deliver to the Boone County Clerk's Office, 1212 Logan Avenue, Suite 103, Belvidere, IL 61008 . Bids will be publicly opened the same day at 2:15 p.m. in the Boone County Board Room located at 1212 Logan Avenue, Belvidere, IL 61008.

EXAMINATION AND PROCUREMENT OF DOCUMENTS:

The Bidding Documents will consist of one full set of Drawings and one Project Manual.

BID SECURITY:

A Bid security in the amount of 10 percent of the total Bid is required.

PRE-BID MEETING:

A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Boone County Administration Campus, 1212 Logan Avenue, Belvidere, IL 61008 at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025 . Prospective bidders are requested to attend.

RIGHT TO REJECT BIDS:

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any errors, omissions or irregularities in the bids or the bidding procedure when, in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve its best interests. Any bid which is not accompanied by the required bid security or by any other documents or certifications required by the Bidding Documents, and any bid which is in any way incomplete or irregular, is subject to rejection at the sole discretion of the Owner.

GOVERNING LAWS AND REGULATIONS:

Prevailing wage rates will apply and must be included in the Bid amount.
