The Acorn Public Library District will receive separate sealed bids until 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, in the Lower-Level Meeting Room at the Acorn Public Library, 15624 Central Avenue, Oak Forest, Illinois, 60452 for the HVAC Replacement.
This project generally consists of but not limited to: All materials and labor necessary to replace two roof top units, indoor air handling unit, outdoor air-cooled condensing units and associated temperature controls at the Acorn Public Library located at 15624 Central Avenue, Oak Forest, Illinois, 60452 owned and operated by the Acorn Public Library District.

The above bids will be opened and read publicly at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the Acorn Public Library.
Specifications require the submittal of a 10% Bid Surety with the proposal. In addition, the successful contractor(s) must be able to provide a satisfactory Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond, and required proof of insurance following the award of a contract.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting and walk-through for General Contractors will be held at 10:00 AM, Central Standard Time (CST), on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, in the Lower-Level Meeting Room at the Acorn Public Library, located at 15624 Central Avenue, Oak Forest, Illinois, 60452.
The Acorn Public Library District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to accept any proposals which, in its judgment, will be in the best interest of the Library District. Only bids in compliance with the provisions of the specifications will be considered.
All bidders must comply with the applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of Cook County prevailing wages by all contractors working on public projects, and bidders must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor and bidding, including Equal Opportunity Laws.
