The Henry Rockwell Baker Memorial Community Center, Inc. will receive separate sealed bids
until 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the Baker Community Center, 101 S. 2nd Street,
St. Charles, Illinois, for the Front Exterior Stair Replacement.
This project generally consists of but not limited to: All materials and labor necessary to install
exterior renovations as noted in the provided Project Manual and Drawings for the facility
located at 101 S. 2nd Street, St. Charles, IL 60174 owned and operated by the Henry Rockwell
Baker Memorial Community Center, Inc.
Bid documents will be available from Accurate Repro, Inc.’s Planroom beginning Wednesday,
March 27, 2024, at 9:00am. Plans are available for printing (at bidder’s expense) or download

The above bids will be received and privately opened at the Henry Rockwell Baker
Memorial Community Center, Inc.
Specifications require the submittal of a 10% Bid Surety with the proposal. In addition, the
successful contractor(s) must be able to provide a satisfactory Performance Bond, Labor and
Material Payment Bond, and required proof of insurance following the award of a contract.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting and walk-through for General Contractors will be held at
11:00 a.m., Central Standard Time (CST), on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the Henry Rockwell
Baker Memorial Community Center, Inc. located at 101 S. 2nd Street, St. Charles, IL.
A second informal walk-through of the site will occur at 11:00 a.m., Central Standard Time
(CST), on Wednesday, April 9, 2024, for General Contractors and their Subcontractors.
The Henry Rockwell Baker Memorial Community Center, Inc. reserves the right to reject any or
all proposals or to accept any proposals which, in its judgment, will be to the best interest of the
Owner. Only bids in compliance with the provisions of the specifications will be considered.
All bidders must comply with the applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of Kane County
prevailing wages by all contractors working on public projects, and bidders must comply with the
Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor and bidding, including Equal Opportunity Laws.
